The High Voltage Electric Vehicle (HVEV) Level 1 training program is designed to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of the fundamental principles of electrical engineering and measurements in circuits related to electric and hybrid vehicles.

This essential course covers:
• General types of electric and hybrid vehicles
• Structure and operation principles
• Risk identification and hazard management
• Safe handling of high voltage systems

Participants will also learn to use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), measurement tools (such as voltmeters and megger testers), and other appropriate tools for working on electric and hybrid vehicles through demonstration.

At end of the program participants would be accessed through an independent written examination graded & certified by TÜV Rheinland.

The High Voltage Electric Vehicle (HVEV) Level 2 training program builds on the foundational knowledge from Level 1, providing participants with comprehensive expertise in electric and hybrid vehicles. This program delves deeper into the types of electric motors, traction batteries, electrical hazards, safety, and international standards governing EVs.

This course covers:
• Basics of EV, HEV, PHEV & PHV
• High Voltage System & Layout
• High Voltage Components (AC-DC Chargers/Inverters, HV Cables, Electric Motors, Traction Batteries, Motor Control Modules, Maintenance/Service Switches, Charging Ports & Protocols, etc.)
• Electrical Hazards
• PPE & Safety Working Instructions
• First Aid & Assistance
• HV Protection Measures in EVs

Participants will engage in hands-on demonstrations with actual EVs, gaining crucial knowledge and skills for working in "non-live" and "live" scenarios.

Upon successful completion, participants will undergo an independent written examination graded and certified by TÜV Rheinland, earning the HVEV Level 2 certification.
Learn to safely carry out the removal and replacement of high voltage components in electric and hybrid vehicles that have been made safe.

This includes the powertrain, cooling systems, heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems.

Each candidate should have completed (and passed) the High Voltage Electric Vehicle Safety & Technical Training Level 1 from TÜV Rheinland
Our HVEV Level 2 training program offers participants a recap of the contents of Level 1, learn about HVEV governing laws & standards, specific components and how they operate, shutdown procedures and vehicle re instatement post service or repair that also includes a demonstration from the Trainer plus:
• Explanation on different types of EV and HEV
• Risks and hazards associated with electric and hybrid vehicles
• Function, working and safety of electric motor & traction battery
• Cause and effect of electrical hazards
• Responsibility of electrical safety work (legal responsibilities and compliance)
• Function and usage of each PPE & tools plus demonstration
• Safety and protection implemented on EV’s
• Demonstration first aid and assistance if HV accident occurs

This Level 2 program would further develop participants knowledge and skills necessary to safely and effectively work with high voltage systems in electric and hybrid vehicles.

HVEV Safety & Technical Training Level 2

RM 2,200 16 HOURS (2 DAYS)

The High Voltage Electric Vehicle (HVEV) Level 3 training program further builds upon the comprehensive knowledge and expertise gained in Level 2. This advanced program focuses on risk management, the obligations and responsibilities of various personnel, and the preparation of an EV for repairs and troubleshooting.

This course covers:
• Risk Management (Residual Risks & Hierarchy of Controls)
• Technical Responsibilities
• Management Responsibilities
• Case Study
• Practical Demonstration
• Steps to prepare an EV for diagnosis & service

Participants will be required to demonstrate their understanding and ability to safely work on EVs through a practical assessment. This includes performing a 15-minute practical demonstration, which will be evaluated by TÜV Rheinland to be graded and certified, earning the HVEV Level 3 certification.
This program offers advanced risk management skills, a comprehensive understanding of responsibilities in EV maintenance, and hands-on experience in EV preparation, diagnosis, and service.
