Overview HVEV Safety & Technical Training
In the context of Malaysia’s growing electric vehicle (EV) market, this comprehensive training program equips personnel ranging from management teams, engineers & automotive technicians with the knowledge and skills needed to safely handle High-Voltage systems in EVs and hybrid vehicles. By learning to work with correct Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), work procedures and tools, repairs and maintenance tasks could be carried confidently and safely. Moreover, the training provides a globally recognized certificate, enhancing the professional credentials of participants.

This essential course covers:
• General types of electric and hybrid vehicles
• Structure and operation principles
• Risk identification and hazard management
• Safe handling of high voltage systems
Participants will also learn to use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), measurement tools (such as voltmeters and megger testers), and other appropriate tools for working on electric and hybrid vehicles through demonstration.
At end of the program participants would be accessed through an independent written examination graded & certified by TÜV Rheinland.

HVEV Safety & Technical Training Level 1
This course covers:
• Basics of EV, HEV, PHEV & PHV
• High Voltage System & Layout
• High Voltage Components (AC-DC Chargers/Inverters, HV Cables, Electric Motors, Traction Batteries, Motor Control Modules, Maintenance/Service Switches, Charging Ports & Protocols, etc.)
• Electrical Hazards
• PPE & Safety Working Instructions
• First Aid & Assistance
• HV Protection Measures in EVs
Participants will engage in hands-on demonstrations with actual EVs, gaining crucial knowledge and skills for working in "non-live" and "live" scenarios.
Upon successful completion, participants will undergo an independent written examination graded and certified by TÜV Rheinland, earning the HVEV Level 2 certification.
This includes the powertrain, cooling systems, heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems.

HVEV Safety & Technical Training Level 2
This course covers:
• Risk Management (Residual Risks & Hierarchy of Controls)

• Steps to prepare an EV for diagnosis & service
Participants will be required to demonstrate their understanding and ability to safely work on EVs through a practical assessment. This includes performing a 15-minute practical demonstration, which will be evaluated by TÜV Rheinland to be graded and certified, earning the HVEV Level 3 certification.
